DNA Stain Clear G SERVA
Non-carcinogenic stain for detection of nucleic acids. SERVA DNA Stain Clear G can be used instead of highly carcinogenic ethidium bromide for detecting nucleic acid in agarose gels. It emits green fluorescence when bound to DNA or RNA. The stain has 2 secondary fluorescence excitation peaks (approx. 270 and 295 nm) and 1 strong excitation peak centered around 490 nm. The fluorescence emission is similar to EtBr at approx. 530 nm when bound to nucleic acid. Pre-casting and post-staining protocols are applicable. 1 ml of this stain is sufficient for 17 to 25 l of agarose gel. |
